Spring, and the season for happy turtle processions, is here at last.
I won't be able to lead these this year, but Chris and Gloria Anderson have stepped up to bring them back.
Beginning Monday, April 5th, the turtles will ride at 6 from Chris and Gloria's beautiful farm at 1156 Moore-Duncan Highway in Moore. (Better known as 290.) The route will be- I think- about 18 to 21 miles, and new riders are welcome.
These rides are meant to be entirely friendly, entirely courteous (to everyone, on bikes or off) and entirely fun. You can't be too slow. If you're inately fast but want to come out for a recovery ride, that's okay; but please remember this one is for the turtles. Please encourage and help the new riders, and set an example of good riding manners.
If you're knew and a little timid about coming out, this is the ride for you. There will be two groups, and no one left behind. Chris and Gloria look forward to the return of the regulars, and to some new smiling turtle faces.
I am turning this email account over to them as of this writing, so if you wish, for some unaccountable reason, to contact me directly, please use my jean.mcknight@rocketmail.com address.
Happy riding, and please remember to thank Chris and Gloria for their time, their driveway, their hospitality and for making this ride possible.
Jean
